Meet Charter Captain Randall Marsh

Florida Fishing Guide Captain Randall Marsh   Captain Randall Marsh is a 39 year old, native who grew up in the rolling hills of Ocala, located in Central Florida. He spent his youth fishing on the Gulf Coast, where his family owned a weekend home. In his teens, Crystal River and Boca Grande became second homes, as he chased snook, redfish, tarpon and trout every chance he got. After graduating from Florida State University in the summer of 1994 he moved to Ft. Myers to become a professional light tackle and fly fishing guide, establishing Tight Lines Charters in 1995.

Now in his 15th season, Randall guides over 250 charters a year and is a touring pro on the FLW Redfish Tour with partner Brent Stokes and was a team member on the PTTS with team Catch-22. Randall has had great success in local, state and national tournaments, placing in the top 5 over 20 times since 1999. The captain has also been featured in Florida Sportsman, Sport Fishing, Fly Fishing in Saltwater, Florida Fishing Weekly, Naples Daily News, Ft. Myers News Press and many others. As well, he has guided or appeared on numerous outdoor shows, as seen on ESPN, VS, OLN, FSN and local cable networks.

The captain has also been a speaker for the Florida Sportsman Show seminar series, covering tactics from fly casting to bait fishing. He can often be found giving seminars at tackle shops, boat shows, fly shops and fishing clubs throughout the year. Captain Randall serves as a guest host on Reel Talk Radio, heard on ESPN 770. He enjoys all these chances to talk fishing, share techniques and promote taking kids fishing.

Captain Randall has also donated his time, money and services to organizations such as the Coastal Conservation Association, Wild Turkey Federation, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, American Cancer Society, Edison Historic Society, Lee County Professional Guides Association, Veterans of Southwest Florida and several school/church organizations.

Randall has fished around the globe in tropical locals and has guided throughout the state, but still considers Southwest Florida his favorite place to fish. Known as a "Tarpon Junky" by his friends, the captain also enjoys fishing for snook, redfish, bonefish and permit on bait, flies and plugs. The captain will be happy to share his knowledge and love of Pine Island Sound and Charlotte Harbor with his clients. Also, if you are interested in fishing Homosassa, Mosquito Lagoon, the Middle Keys or Everglades ask about limited dates and seasons for these destinations.

Captain Randall resides in Ft. Myers with his wife Angie and two daughters Ansley and Annabelle. In his free time, he can be found playing with his girls, hunting, traveling and of course fishing!
